Avatar! just some thoughts.
Dec. 28th, 2009 09:48 pmSaw Avatar in 3D today with my brother and father. It was the first time of me seeing a film in 3D and it was kind of cool, but my eyes hurt in the end a little bit. Plus I had to wear my normal glasses and the 3d glasses, it wasn't that comfortable. I don't really mind.
The film was amazing, the special effects and the music. It was a really great spectacle. The beginning of the film kind reminded me of this book by Harry Harrison "Deathworld". The movie has a bit of elements from it, like how the natives live with the planet in peace and the other, the so called aliens, are fighting with it. And then one of "the aliens" becomes one of the native ones... And the he becomes the chosen one, Toruk Makto, and it was kind of a cliché that I think most of the people watching predicted.
Really, the movie is worth watching, especially for 3D effects.
